Scope:

AEC provided design services for supplemental power via a combination of wind and solar power delivery. The system provides power to the USAF National Museum complex which consists of three large hangars and two historic outbuildings. The wind turbine is rated at a minimum of 2.4 kW with an integral inverter that delivers AC power directly to the panel board in the control tower. The photovoltaic solar array consists of a 2x4 array of 174 kW of solar panels.
