 Carl Schultz, PE, Vice President

After spending many years searching in vain for a hobby, it suddently dawned on Carl that his passion is building services design.

His interest has moved from high technology applications to high performance building design as it relates to building services. This focus includes HVAC systems than reduce fan energy and eliminate reheat as well as central plants that are conceived to maximize thermodynamic efficiency.

Carl is a known entity in the industry and has participant in an advisory role for the Government in evaluating research as it relates to decontamination of building plumbing systems in the event of terrorism and natural disasters. He was a contributor to the ASHRAE Applications Handbook on Healthcare Facilities and has also edited and contributed technical content to a manufacturer’s catalogue. He has written over 30 articles on design and commissioning topics and has lectured at national and international conferences.
