Scope:

AEC provided engineering design and construction administration services for a life safety system upgrade for The Ohio State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The existing fire alarm system was replaced with a new, fully-automatic and addressable type detection and annunciation system. The system was designed to reduce the discomfort and stress that the animals were experiencing with the old system. The 25,000 square foot hospital was constructed in 1973 and is one of the largest veterinary hospitals in the United States.
