Lisa Huang, PhD, PE, RCDD

After a decade of working at large engineering firms, Lisa decided to start her own company. Her vision was to provide the best quality engineering design services with a personal touch. In 1998, Advanced Engineering Consultants was created in the basement of her home. Lisa brings expertise acquired over more than 30 years in project planning, management and electrical design of new build and renovation projects. She possesses incredible determination and unquestionable integrity. Her passion for the industry and dedication to her clients makes her a valuable addition to any team. Lisa is a Senior Electrical Engineer and a Registered Communications Distribution Designer. She earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University. Outside of work, Lisa is involved in various organizations including the Ohio Women Organization. She excels at table tennis, golf and plays the Erhu, a two- stringed Chinese instrument.

Gavin Lim, PE, LEED AP BD+C, LC

President

Throughout his career, Gavin has overseen a highly productive electrical engineering team and managed hundreds of projects to successful completion. His experience, knowledge, and commitment is shown in all aspects of his responsibilities as an Engineer, Project Manager, Principal, and now as President. Through thoughtful conversation and a vision for AEC’s future Gavin was named President of AEC in 2021. Gavin’s focus for moving AEC forward is routed in fostering personal and company growth, and to start each workday with motivation, humility, and sense of responsibility. Gavin earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University. In addition, he is a LEED Accredited Professional and is certified as a Lighting Designer by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP). Outside of work, Gavin is an avid automotive enthusiast, tinkerer, and motorsports fan.
