AEC provided plumbing and fire protection engineering designs for the new 127,000 square-foot Hopewell-Loudon Pk-12 school. All designs were in compliance with all applicable requirements of the 2010 Ohio School Facilities Commission Design Manual and the Ohio Plumbing Code. The fire protection design included fire suppression systems and fire pumps to increase pressure to the sprinkler system. The plumbing design included the creation of new sanitary drainage mains after concerns were raised from the school board. The building achieved LEED Silver certification through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
