Advanced Engineering Consultants, has been awarded a maximum $12,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract for mechanical, electrical, architect, engineer services to support Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by June 26, 2018. Three delivery orders will be issued with the initial award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PZIOC, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8601-13-D-0003).

A couple of AEC’s LEED certified projects were featured in the Columbus Business Firsts’ “Ohio LEED-certified spaces” list. The projects are: COTA Mobility Services Facility: LEED Gold Certified Building features rain water from roof collected for bus washing and flushing of plumbing fixtures, CFC-free HVAC with monitored ventilation system. COTA downtown Administration Office: LEED Silver Certified Building features high-efficiency fixtures/metered faucets, CFC-free HVAC with monitored ventilation, recycled and regionally sourced materials.

Congratulations to the COTA Fields Avenue Facility MEP design team for their part in obtaining LEED Gold Certification for the renovation of this 270,000 SF maintenance and administrative facility. The USGBC Columbus Chapter will be conducting a tour of the building on March 7, 2013. The tour will provide attendees with the opportunity to walk through the facility as well as learn about the project’s sustainable features directly from members of AEC’s design team.
