AEC was retained by Triad Architects to provide M/E/P engineering design services for various improvements to this educational facility and hotel. The $2.5M project included construction of a 9,200 square foot addition to the culinary school, expansion and renovation of the main lobby, and construction of an addition to the hotel’s spa area. The culinary laboratory addition includes a demonstration kitchen, butchering and meat preparation area, a temperature- controlled chocolate kitchen, a pastry kitchen, a computer lab, and other lab / practice kitchens. AEC’s services included design of electrical power distribution, HVAC, plumbing, relocation of grease traps, fire protection, interior and site illumination, system control, technology, data/telecommunication, multi-media equipment in each classroom, security, and sound systems.
