AEC provided MEPT engineering design for the recently opened ADESA Chicago auto auction center. The 167,000-square-foot facility is the “most integrated, customer-centric and technologically advanced physical auction location to date” for the company; which is owned by KAR Auction Services. The facility features amenities such as mobile iOS applications that allow dealers to pay for cars, request post-sale inspections, and have gate passes emailed to their phones. AEC’s work included designs for a new HVAC system, make-up air units, exhaust fans, lighting, electrical power, and telecommunication/data systems. Auto Remarketing magazine featured the new facility in a recent publication.

AEC earned an Exceptional/Very Good rating for engineering services provided at Grand Forks AFB. The project manager stated “The AEC-Emersion Joint Venture is a new design firm to Grand Forks AFB…they have thus far been very thorough with pre-design investigations and as-built drawing reviews.”

AEC is excited to share that the new Rickenbacker Air Traffic Control Tower project was recently highlighted by the air traffic controller contractor, Dynamic Science, Inc. (DSI), in their quarterly newsletter. DSI shared a brief history of Rickenbacker AFB and thanked the project managers for their “functional expertise and tireless efforts during the entire process.” AEC provided MEPT engineering design services for this project which was completed in spring 2016. AEC has once again been selected as the Prime Consultant for VAR-Statewide Facilities General Engineering Services for ODOT. AEC will provide services over a 24-month period on a Task Order Basis. AEC has been awarded this contract three times and is excited to continue providing services for ODOT.

The 3rd Brigade Combat Headquarters at Fort Bragg recently achieved LEED Silver Certification through the USGBC. AEC was a proud member of the design team, providing professional services for the Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Telecommunications, and Security Systems. This 40,000 square foot facility received advanced systems geared towards energy efficiency and redundancy.

AEC is proud to announce that Columbus Fire Station #3 achieved LEED Gold Certification with the US Green Building Council. AEC provided M/E/P/T/FP engineering design services for the new fire station which also temporarily houses Columbus Fire #2 while that station is under construction. The new fire station #3 is 26,000 SQ feet and construction was completed in 2015.

AEC recently learned that a Compressed Air Systems Repair project performed for NASA Glenn Research Center was accepted; completing our work on the project. Our team of engineers provided designs for compressor and dryer equipment, auxiliary systems, piping, and associated controls. Our team received high praise for the design work we provided on this project. NASA’s GRC senior project manager had this to say “As of August 1, 2016 NASA has taken acceptance of the SA-24 Service Air Compressor and Dryer system, effectively completing the scope of the FY14 Central Compressed Air System Repairs – Phase 1 project. I want to thank everyone involved with the project for contributing to the completion and success of the project. As a project, we were fortunate to bring together such a talented and responsive team that began with the design and followed all the way through systems commissioning. The project’s engineering and construction teams performed seamlessly – our special thanks to both. The efforts of everyone are greatly appreciated.”

AEC is providing MEPT engineering services for the new 186,100 square-foot mixed-use development, The View on Pavey Square. The new development will consist of retail, restaurant, and residential space over an underground parking garage. AEC is teaming with BBCO Design Architecture for this project. AEC earned an Exceptional rating from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities for services provided on the Steam System Replacement at Gallipolis Developmental Center. The project manager stated “AEC is the best engineering firm that I have ever worked with (45 years)”

AEC is excited to announce that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Training Facility achieved LEED Silver Certification from the USGBC. The 24,500 square-foot facility includes administrative offices, classrooms, a conference center, fitness center, locker rooms, and specialty spaces for training scenarios. AEC was responsible for providing HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and telecommunication engineering designs.

Congratulations to AEC Indiana who provided professional services for Building 2037 at the Naval Support Activity in Crane Indiana. This renovation project achieved LEED Silver Certification through the USGBC. The building provides testing laboratories, a clean room testing environment, office space and an interactive conference room.
