MEP
AEC provided MEPT design for the renovation of existing spaced in the Glick Eye Institute to provide additional power, heating, cooling, and ventilation. This renovation included new air devices and VAC boxes to properly condition each space and provide the correct pressurization for the functions being performed in Temp Holding Room 320C and Gas Storage Room 322. The HVAC design also involved adjustments to the adjacent spaces to ensure proper balance of the system. The new HVAC devices tied into the building͛s existing systems. New electrical devices for specialty equipment were added and connected to the existing power distribution systems. Careful field investigative work was performed to ensure the systems had adequate space and capacity to accommodate the improvements. Code research was performed to ensure the performance requirements were met and in compliance with current jurisdictions.
