The scope of the project included the design of a new residential style training structure for the Ohio State Fire Marshall Academy. The training house was developed to simulate a wide range of training procedures and to withstand destruction from the training. The new residential style training structure required minimal utilities for lighting emergencies and training purposes as well as minimal heat for protection of partitions from mildewing and deterioration. The structure is approximately 1,500 SQ FT. The project also improved the site, preparing it for future projects, and renovated the existing Main Building and EMS Building.
AEC provided electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineering services, including site electrical, lighting replacement in the existing buildings, heat protection, and plumbing. AEC provided the necessary connections and ventilation for a smoke machine to support training simulations.
