AEC was part of a team that provided architectural and engineering design services for a new 90,000 square foot medical facility and maximum security segregation housing unit. This new facility includes a 14,200 square foot dialysis clinic, a 16,200 square foot segregation housing unit with 60 maximum security cells, a 160-bed patient care facility, a medical clinic with radiology, dental, and vision exam rooms, and a 1,500 square foot security/administration building. AEC was responsible for providing electrical and technology engineering services for design of the facility’s Electrical Power Distribution, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Emergency / Critical Power Services, Fire Alarm System, Nurse Call and Monitoring System, Security System (door card readers, key pad, detections, control panels, door access controls), Locking Devices, Position Contact, Release Relay, and Security interface fire alarm system. The construction cost for this project was approximately $17 million.
